We cut our hair because it keeps growing (until you’ve crossed the line anyway). Sometimes, it goes well and you look a million dollars (probably because that’s how much it cost you). Most of the time, you’re dissatisfied. Today was such a time for me. I came in for the first time in many months needing a little less weight on top of my head and even used words like ‘a slight trim’ and ‘not too much’, but that was probably undetectable babble from my mumbly tone.

Well, I can’t change it, so here are the advantages and disadvantages of when it all goes wrong (because I can).

Advantages:
- Less weight.
- Longer wait until next time.
- Save a bit of money.
- Look less like a filthy hippie.
- Easier to clean.
- Will probably be spared if an anti-long-hair dictator is elected.

Disadvantages:
- Does not look nice.
- Will take long to recover.
- Women slightly more repulsed than usual.
- You realise you shake your head a lot, not the same now.
- People throw flaming rubbish at you on the street.
- You wake up and the pillow has more hair than you.

Call it a draw?
