No, this hasn’t became a music advertising zone, it was just recently the anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s death. From Live Aid in 1985, enjoy… Add Comment Haircuts… 21/11/2009
We cut our hair because it keeps growing (until you’ve crossed the line anyway). Sometimes, it goes well and you look a million dollars (probably because that’s how much it cost you). Most of the time, you’re dissatisfied. Today was such a time for me. I came in for the first time in many months needing a little less weight on top of my head and even used words like ‘a slight trim’ and ‘not too much’, but that was probably undetectable babble from my mumbly tone. Well, I can’t change it, so here are the advantages and disadvantages of when it all goes wrong (because I can). Advantages: - Less weight. - Longer wait until next time. - Save a bit of money. - Look less like a filthy hippie. - Easier to clean. - Will probably be spared if an anti-long-hair dictator is elected. Disadvantages: - Does not look nice. - Will take long to recover. - Women slightly more repulsed than usual. - You realise you shake your head a lot, not the same now. - People throw flaming rubbish at you on the street. - You wake up and the pillow has more hair than you. Call it a draw? Weekly video #62 20/11/2009
*Generic apology for lack of non-WV posting* Great to see a bunch of 40-somethings engaging in a song that begins with ‘Well she was just…17!’. Weekly video #61 13/11/2009
I think it’s best I relate to yesterday’s post by posting something meaningful as opposed to my last minute cheap attempts at a laugh. Happy ‘birthday’, Carl Sagan… 12/11/2009
Alas, a non-WV post. Carl Sagan (1934–1996) would’ve celebrated his 75th birthday last Monday if he didn’t die at 62 (with the best – Aristotle, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Farrah Fawcett…). He was a famous astronomer that brought astronomy and science in general to the common man. RIP. :/ Sorry for the bad drawing, I’m a mathematician-thingy. Weekly video #60 06/11/2009
