Weekly video #11 11/28/2008

Firstly, I take it you’ve noticed YouTube has gone widescreen…interesting.

As socially damaging as it sounds, this video is true.

3 years ago today, one of my friends, Chris Emberry, tragically passed away. He was only 12; he was an excellent musician and had his whole life ahead of him. May he rest in peace.

“Chicken Police?”

Two chickens break up a fight between two rabbits, that’s about it.

Well I switched on my Xbox for the first time in a while and downloaded the “New Xbox Experience” Dashboard update. Basically it’s shinier and things are in different places, but the most notable change is the avatar feature, it’s pretty good but is it used for anything except from a display picture? There’s also a party mode thingy, you can make a party on the Dashboard where you can have a multi-chat and it will still be enabled when you’re playing something. It’s good, but bunking from school/work to get it is a bit sad…

Well after some looking up and talking to people, I think I have decided my four options for AS next year. Unless I change my mind, they are going to be maths, physics, economics and philosophy. If I don’t find the work too hard I’ll try keep all four for A2, but it isn’t going to be easy…

Well school has only just started to tell us about the options available, and gave us a month to decide…that’s smart… Well each A-level is a big choice and a lot of what school says to you is probably a lie, so I better ask people who’ve done them, that will hopefully give me a realistic answer.

Well like most I’m probably going to pick four at AS and three at A2. Maths for definite, physics most likely, possibly philosophy (I’m starting it off this year, it seems alright) and I’m stumped for the fourth one…possibly further maths if it wasn’t suicide.

I’ll probably get a good idea in the weekend though. And another thing; why, why and why are they bringing in an A* grade?!

Terminator 4! 11/09/2008

I am a big Terminator fan, well I would be if they ended it at T2 with the original ending instead of leaving it with a pretty good ending, but oh no! A new director comes along and pulls it out of its retirement home, and completely fucks up the story leaving many contradictions and dissatisfaction. T3 was alright itself but a mess to the whole story, making T2 meaningless… The same thing happened with the Sarah Connor Chronicles and I have a feeling this might too. But from looking at this link it seems to be a promising film (in itself), 10 new terminators, the humans’ journey through post-apocalyptic Los Angeles ruled by machines and the famous “Come with me if you wanna live.”

By the way, it’s set to be released on May 22nd 2009.

“MAtrix Ping Pong”

’Nuff said.

As we all know Barack Obama has been elected the 44th President of the USA. I am not an American but this is a big thing for the whole of the world, let’s hope he actually lives up to his claims and “changes” the shithole known as the USA. I would have assumed Americans would pick the right candidate, but they elected Bush…twice…so there.

By the way, I’ve remained roughly neutral throughout the election; politicians are tricky bastards, so I just wanted the best man to win.
